10 Days in Europe; the third release of the wildly
popular "10 Days" line of Geoplay games from
Out of the Box Publishing. Walk from Austria to Hungary,
take a boat from Spain to Italy, or fly from Greece
to Finland. Touring by plane, boat, and on foot, players
chart their course from start to finish using desitination
and transportation tiles.
The goal of these games is to arrange ten tiles in
a sequence that becomes a connecting ten-day cross-continent
journey.
Connections can be made by foot (to an adjacent country),
by boat (travel through any sea); or by airplane (between
two countries that are the same color as the plane).
Just like the Vampire board game featured in this issue,
OTB is capitalizing on a brand now know to consumers.
The options for the "10 Days" series
is endless. Not only could OTB go through the continents, but they
could go through individual countries, states and provinces.
Imagine a variation on all those "opoly" games
you may carry.
Though Out of the Box does not spend marketing dollars
beyond conventions, they seem to have taken their broad
success with Apples to Apples and continue to grow
their brand. If your customers are not familiar with
the "10 Days" series, then you have a chance
to not only sell them one game, but a whole series
they may want to come back to purchase.
