What’s in the Box
- 60 ROCK! Cards - 20 of each: Rock, Paper, Scissors
- Travel
Tin
- Quick Play Rules
The Object of ROCK!
Players earn points by being the first to call out the name
of the winning card when two cards are played. The player
with the most points at the end of the game wins ROCK!
Setting Up
- Shuffle all the cards and deal them, face down, to
form two equal draw piles.
- Place one draw pile in
front of each player.
Playing the Game
- Each player picks up his or her draw pile and holds it
in one hand, with the cards face down.
- Simultaneously,
each player flips the top card from his or her draw pile,
face up, onto the table.
- Cards should be flipped
outward so that both players see the image on the card
at the same time.
- Cards should be placed side-by-side
on the table so that they are in clear view of both
players.
- Players race to call out the name of the winning card.
The winning card is determined using the traditional Rock,
Paper, Scissors rules:
- The first player to call out the
name of the winning card collects the two cards in play.
Collected cards are stacked on the table in front of the
player who won those cards. Each card represents one point.
- It doesn’t matter who played the winning card;
the person who is first to call out the name of the card
wins the cards.
- If a player calls out the name of a card
and it is not the winning card, that player loses automatically
and the other player collects the cards.
- If both
players call out the name of the winning card at exactly
the same time, it’s considered a tie, the cards
remain on the table and the next two cards are played
on top of them. All the cards will be collected by the
player who wins the next set.
- If two cards with the same
name are played, for example, two PAPER cards, it is
considered a tie. Both players remain silent and the
cards remain on the table. The next two cards are player
on top of them. All the cards will be collected by the
player who wins the next set.
- If two cards with the
same name are played and a player calls out the name
of any card, that player loses automatically and the
other player collects the cards.
- Play continues following steps 1–4 until
all cards are played.
Winning the Game
Each player counts the cards in his or her stack. Each
card represents one point. The player with the most points
wins ROCK!
In the case of a tie, play again. |
